Many of the Entel radios are certified as waterproof-submersible to an unprecedented depth of 5 metres for 60 minutes.
For those requiring an entry level PMR446 portable with a no compromise build specification, Entel offer a great range of radios at cost effective prices. From an established generation of commercial grade portables, the submersible HT Series is designed to operate in the most hostile environments and exceptionally loud audio is the choice of the fire & rescue services and major blue-chip petrochem organisations worldwide.
For your convenience the HT range has 16 channel capacity, allowing you to duplicate all 8 European PMR446 allocated channels on a different CTCSS or DCS tone. Alternatively, just use the first 8 positions. Utilising the latest intelligent Lithium-Ion battery technology with battery cycle count your HT series radio will even alert you to imminent battery life expiration.

Polycon
Search and Rescue
The Polycon Radio system in the aircraft interfaces straight into the aircraft's intercom. The winchman can talk on the intercom via his Polycon radio as if he is in the aircraft, completely hands free giving him more mobility and improving safety. Headset Services Limited also provide a range of headsets and helmet upgrades to interface with the Polycon system. We make a waterproof helmet loom upgrade for most helmets that provides a complete and reliable communication system.
The Polycon Transceiver is constructed to meet the stringent quality requirements for equipment used under demanding conditions typically for helicopter search and rescue operations, and other outdoor activities which often take place under extreme operational and environmental conditions. The Transceiver is designed for ease of operation without compromising the integrity of the unit and safeguarding against interruptions caused by unintentional operation. The whole unit is constructed as a multifunction ‘ PTT’ key, with additional standard radio functions.
The unit can be used as a dedicated waterproof intercom for SAR (Search And Rescue) operations as well as a standard ‘walkietalkie’ radio. The radio incorporates the PTT switch/security.
